Recommendation and Review

Section 8-1-11 of the City Code allows Harrisonburg Electric Commission to purchase real estate, subject to approval by City Council. HEC is interested in acquiring this property as part of a potential solar farm project for electricity generation.  The purchase price of $550,000 for approximately 9.92 acres on Acorn Drive will be paid by Harrisonburg Electric Commission.
