Recommendation and Review

The City of Harrisonburg Public Works Department intends to submit an application for congressionally directed spending through the Office of Senator Tim Kaine and the Office of Senator Mark Warner for the Suter St. Drainage Improvement Project. This project will construct street infrastructure improvements to upsize the existing stormwater management systems along Suter St. Benefits of this project include minimizing future property damage, advancing equity and environmental justice, and providing sustainability for existing affordable housing. The City plans to request $2,779,300 of federal funding and would be required to provide matching funds in the amount of $926,500.
