Recommendation and Review

The City recently removed the old Park View Water Tank from its location in the Park View area.  This occurred after the construction of the new water tank serving the area.  The old tank lot (Tax Map Parcel 49-B-14) is a non-conforming lot that can’t be sold for residential development.  The lot has little value to the City.  The only practical use of the lot is by the owners of two of the neighboring parcels.  The owners of those parcels submitted an offer to purchase the lot for a total of $5000.00.  the owners will divide the lot between them to add to their existing lots.  The City assessor believes the offer is reasonable.  Selling the old tank lot will eliminate the City’s maintenance obligations and will place the property back in a taxable status.  The City will retain any needed easements.
