Recommendation and Review
The city clerk has been advised that Judge Thomas J. Wilson, whose term expired on December 31, 2020, declined reappointment, the Commission will provide a name of a replacement once determined by the Commission.
Marsha Garst, whose term expired on December 31, 2020, is interested in continuing to serve and is a very valuable member of the Commission, therefore it is recommended that City Council accept her reappointment to a five-year term to expire on December 31, 2025.
Lt. Richards Sites with the Harrisonburg Police Department retired, and his position on the Commission has been replaced by Lt. Chris Monahan of the Harrisonburg Police Department and the Commission requests Council’s approval of this appointment.
Bill Blessing is no longer the Chair of the Transportation Safety Commission, and the R/H Alcohol Safety Action Program Commission has filled his position with the new Chair Mr. Kyle Lawrence and the board is requesting Council’s approval of this appointment.
