Recommendation and Review
The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Community Criminal Justice Board (the CCJB) was established by a resolution adopted by the Harrisonburg City Council and the Rockingham County Board of Supervisors in 2008 in accordance with Virginia Code Section 9.1-178. The adopted resolution requires that the CCJB include an attorney experienced in the defense of criminal matters who is a current member of the Virginia State Bar. Gene Hart is a current member of the Virginia State Bar and an attorney who is experienced in the defense of criminal matters. He has been nominated by the CCJB to replace Lou Nagy, who has resigned from the CCJB. The Harrisonburg City Council and the Rockingham County Board of Supervisors must each approve the appointment of Gene Hart to the CCJB.
