Recommendation and Review
At its regular meeting on August 25, 2020 City Council voted to create the CARES Act Advisory Task Force (Task Force) to advise City Council in determining ongoing community needs resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and to make recommendations to Council on how CARES Act funding should be spent by ascertaining and prioritizing categories of need within the City. Each member of Council nominated two members to the Task Force and tentatively named Mayor Reed as a member and Chair and Council Member Jones as a member of the Task Force. The proposed resolution memorializes the creation of the Task Force, formalizes the appointment of its members, and establishes certain procedures for the Task Force.
