Recommendation and Review
On February 26, 2019, City Attorney Brown presented an ordinance to enact law enforcement requested towing regulations. The ordinance was approved on first reading, however it was held for second reading until the Towing Board could be created. We now have sufficient applicants to complete the board if Council so chooses to appoint. The Towing Board must consist of two (2) law-enforcement officers, two (2) towing and recovery operators and two (2) citizens. Corporal Wayne Westfall and Officer Justin Kline would like to be the Harrisonburg Police Department Law Enforcement Officers appointed to the board.
