Consider Renaming a Portion of Hillcrest Drive to Carrera Lane

Recommendation and Review
Due to a recent subdivision and construction of a single-family home taking place on the portion of Hillcrest Drive, on the south side of Port Republic Road, staff is requesting City Council’s consideration for renaming that portion of the street to better conform with street naming conventions in the City. This renaming consideration will also minimize confusion within the shared City-County computer aided dispatch (CAD) system for emergency response. City staff is recommending the Council’s consideration for renaming this portion of street to Carrera Lane. This street name has been vetted by Planning and Community Development staff as well as the City-County Emergency Communications Center (ECC).
