Recommendation and Review
This would be the 8th year of the Friendly City Fourth Run, formerly the Valley Fourth Run, in downtown Harrisonburg. Proceeds from the run benefit local nonprofit organizations. The organizer, VA Momentum, is requesting full closure of Main St. and partial closure (left lane) of Liberty St for the duration of the run.
This application was reviewed and approved by the Special Events Committee on 02/07/19.
The total cost of this event is estimated between $1,050-2,550. The event organizer is responsible for payments to HPD off-duty officers.
