Recommendation and Review

The 5k Run/Walk for Autism is organized by the Shenandoah Valley Autism Partnership and is planned for 04/20/19 from 9:30am-11am. This would be the 12^th year of the run/walk, an event that raises money for families in our region impacted by autism. Approximately 1,000 participants and spectators are anticipated.

The event requires the temporary closure of Park Rd (between Parkwood and Shank) at the beginning of the race, from approximately 9:30am-10am. The race begins and ends on EMU’s campus.

The total cost of the event is estimated at $630 for off-duty officers. Event organizers will be responsible for payments made to officers working the event.
