Recommendation and Review
The Superhero Scholarship 4-Miler is organized by Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation and planned for 5/18/19 from 8:45am- 12pm. The course runs from Westover Park to Hillandale Park and requires the temporary closure of S. Dogwood, Elmwood, and short sections of Sunrise and Ohio. Closures and intersections will be staffed and monitored by HPD for the duration of the event.
HPR will notify residents in Sunrise Heights neighborhood.
The total cost of the event is estimated at $1,038, to be covered by the City.
Key Issues:
-Police support (7 HPD officers)
-Public Works support (for barricades and message boards)
-Insurance documents attached. No food vendor list needed
