Recommendation and Review
Arts Council of the Valley (ACV) is partnering with Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance (HDR) and Harrisonburg City Public Schools (HCPS) to commission a public art sculpture to be sited on public land behind the Smith House and adjacent to Turner Pavilion, near the English language LOVE sculpture.
Project Timeline:
September 2018 -- Open call announced
November 2018 (by 11.59pm) -- Submission deadline
December 2018 -- Selection made / Announcement
January 2019 -- Artist to meet w/ Harrisonburg High School students
February 2019 -- Design approved by City Council
February-April 2019 -- Fabrication
May-June 2019 -- Install / Launch Party
