Recommendation and Review
The Arc of Harrisonburg and Rockingham is requesting to utilize the existing street closures needed for the Holiday Parade to hold a charity “fun run” prior to the start of the Holiday Parade. This would be the first year of the event. Race participants would line up on Rock Street and run south on Main to end at the City Hall parking lot. The Arc’s application has been reviewed and approved by City staff and staff in Parks and Recreation. Event organizers will coordinate with Parks and Recreation to ensure that the events mutually benefit one another and the transition flows smoothly.
