Recommendation and Review

The city and the HRHA, using the services of Mullin and Lonergan, have prepared a joint Assessment of Fair Housing (AFH).  This document was presented to the City Council and the HRHA Board of Commissioners at the August 9, 2016 meeting which commenced the 45 day public comment period that extended through September 22nd.

The AFH is a legal requirement that both the city and the HRHA must complete in order to continue receiving federal housing and community development funding from the U.S. Dept. of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). The primary purpose of the public hearing is to solicit any additional input from the public before the City Council and HRHA Board of Directors consider adoption of the plan.  It is the intent of city and HRHA to submit the regional AFH Plan to HUD on or before September 30, 2016.
