Consider City-County Landfill Agreement

Recommendation and Review
Closure of the Resource Recovery Facility voided the existing City-County agreement. This new agreement establishes the parameters under which the County agrees to accept certain solid waste amounts from City forces that cannot be accepted at our contracted disposal site or transported there due to emergency weather conditions. The tipping fee will be in accordance with the County's then current fee schedule and the volume of trash to be accepted is established, but can be modified with appropriate notice.
A copy of the agreement is attached and staff recommends its approval.
