Recommendation and Review
Background: The Fire Department is required to replace the existing air tanks used by firefighters as the equipment is approaching the end of its useful life. Previously, City Council had set aside funds in the General Fund fund balance to purchase the equipment in the event that grant funds were not available. The Fire Department did pursue grant funding but was not awarded funds to purchase the air tanks.
