Recommendation and Review
The Alpine Loop Gran Fondo is a cycling event that starts and finishes in Downtown Harrisonburg. In its 11th year, the cycling event attracts cyclists to Harrisonburg to take on challenging cycling routes over Shenandoah Mountain and through the Valley. The event serves as fundraisers for the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition and the Cancer Journeys Foundation Prostate Cancer Awareness Project.
This application was reviewed and approved by the Special Events Committee on August 5, 2021.
The total cost of this event is estimated between $1700-2000. The event organizer is responsible for payments to HPD off-duty officers.

- HPD Support (off-duty officers for cyclist lead out & beer garden)
- COI, endorsement, ABC permit to be submitted prior to the event
