Recommendation and Review
Background: The Alpine Loop Gran Fondo is a cycling event that starts and finishes in Downtown Harrisonburg. The annual cycling event attracts cyclists to Harrisonburg to take on challenging cycling routes over Shenandoah Mountain and through the Valley. The event serves as fundraisers for the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition, the Cancer Journeys Foundation Prostate Cancer Awareness Project, and Build Our Park.
This application was reviewed and approved by the Special Events Committee on May 2, 2024.
The total cost of this event is estimated to be around $2700. The event organizer is responsible for payment of applicable charges.

- PW Support (No parking signage, barricades, flusher truck)
- HPD Support (off-duty officers for cyclist lead out & beer garden)
- HFD (stationary EMS team)
