Recommendation and Review
Best Weekend Ever will be an all-day, free, family-friendly event to bring the Harrisonburg community back together for the first time since March 2020. There will be vendors, activities held throughout downtown and on Court Square, live music at participating downtown restaurants, sidewalk sales outside of participating downtown retail shops, and a fireworks show at Westover Park in the evening to close out the day.
This application was reviewed and approved by the Special Events Committee on July 1, 2021.
The total cost of this event is estimated between $5000-6000. The event organizer is responsible for payments to HPD off-duty officers.
