Recommendation and Review
Council has previously approved the construction of a replacement Fire Station 4 at its existing location. In order to facilitate such construction and to provide an expanded site for better ingress and egress to new Fire Station 4, the City Manager and City Attorney negotiated a real estate contract with 7-11, Inc. for the purchase of a portion of the 7-11 property at 380 North Mason Street in the City. The parcel to be purchased consists of 0.54 acres and is located behind the 7-11 store and beside the existing Fire Station 4 and is shown on Attachment C as Parcel B. This additional property will provide greater flexibility in the design and construction of the new Station 4 and provide better ingress and egress to the station. The purchase price for the property is $250,000.00. Closing should occur in approximately 60 days. The Contact is contingent upon ratification by City Council.
